The Cardinals had a productive, but un-controversial, weekend in Chicago.
But that didn't stop the NY media from dragging them into a bitch fight between the Oakland A's and NY Yankees.
Long story short, the Yankees and A's played a 14 inning whopper on Saturday, but in the top of the 13th inning, the A's banged out 3 home runs. And when a team that features 17 rookies goes yard thrice in extra innings in the Bronx… well, they act pleased.
They Yankees, not content to have the laugh laugh with a win, decided to air their greviances in this ESPN.com article.
Former A, cum Yankee, what say you?
"Chavez told the New York Post that Oakland's "orchestrated clapping, cheering celebration" was "high schoolish" and "pretty unprofessional.""
What a dick.
Jonny Gomes, though was going to stick up for his mates. And that's when the Cardinals caught some shrapnel.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you never thought that that low-five line the Cardinals do is controversial. Leave it to the Yankees to make even a little fun something to get pissy about.
There really isn't a point to this post. Just another reason to sports hate the Yankees.
