Monday is the St. Louis Cardinals home opener.
Not only will the team officially unveil the 2013 NL Championship pennant, but they will also have Ballpark Village fully open and operational for a regular season game for the first time.
Oh, and the Cincinnati Reds – one of the two teams that could give the Cards a run for the NL Central – are the opponents.
Looks like none of it matters to Cardinal fans, since ticket prices are currently low and dropping…

The forecast isn’t the best.
Cloudy with some light rain and a high of 45 degrees. But to be able to get actual seats for less than 40 bucks? Just for comparison, those IF terrace reserved seats were around $115.00 face value according to the Cardinals dynamic pricing chart.
So is it a case of iffy weather and a Monday afternoon start that has depressed the market? Or have Cardinal fans turned apathetic with all the success and aren’t going to games unless the weather is perfect and/or it’s October?
